Political re-groupings in
Pakistan's dirty two-party politics have so messed up current political
situation in Pakistan that no one has now a slightest idea of what's going on
and where it is going to end up. I have some good regards for the President but
here I would say government is also playing its role in doubling up such mess.
This whole lot of events looks to me a simple "Divide and Rule"
concept working its way out to de-stabilize the old-corrupt-faces' politics in
Pakistan. I wish one day we could get rid of those old, powerful and corrupt
people who have been raping Pakistan since its birth. May Allah Bless Pakistan.

I don’t see any positive change in the future with same politicians having
merely new faces. We need new educated blood to stop the revolving door.

The renewed formation of
PPP and selection of Shahbaz Sharif as president of PML (N) is just political
gimmick. Both these political parties have a corrupt track record in national
politics and remained ever busy robbing the national exchequer. Should they be
allowed to rob the country again? This must be now stopped.
The nation has belief that President Musharraf's reforms, electoral policies and constitutional amendments would certainly take the country towards prosperity, development and happiness.

Shahbaz,
Nawaz Sharifs and Button represent feudal system of the country. They should
never be allowed to rule the country. They must be abstain from contesting in
the forthcoming elections.

I think there will be no change in the political system of the country, no
wonder they make Shehbaz Sharif a party leader or they form a parliamentary
groups.
There will be no change with the selection
of same faces by these two
political parties. People are fed up with these old buddies.

I think the government should allow
Benazir and Nawaz to participate in the upcoming elections. If they are corrupt
personalities, then the people of Pakistan will never support them in the
election. Everyone should have the choice to select anyone and that is what
is called election.

The decision of making Shehbaz Sharif as the president of PML is quite mature
& right step. I greatly appreciate this decision.
I request the military regime not to create obstacles in his coming & taking part into elections. If there is really free & transparent election, I see him as the future prime minister of Pakistan.

The current political situation seems very dramatic but an ordinary person does
not care what's going on in the country. In fact, peoples of Pakistan need
political stability, refined law and order, etc.
The present de facto military government
must encourage the patriotic and the persons with sharp political acumen to
contest the election; not the looters and burglars.

We direly need to bring a revolution in Pakistani politics. Makhdoom Amin Fahim
and members of Sharif family and affiliates of both PPP and PML cannot ever
bring a positive change in Pakistan. We need to bring forward well-educated and
hard working loyal people on the forefront in our assemblies.
While, it is not too late for the Pakistani
nation to wake up and elect right people. For Allah's sake, please do not vote
on the basis of a Party's name. Vote on the basis of "who is sincere
with the country". May Allah show us way to follow and sense and understand
to elect the right people for our country.

I strongly oppose the present picture of PML(N)
contesting against PPPP. I
was expecting to see new faces with clean and pure, refined and refreshed
motives for the betterment of country.

I don't
think this coming election
can bring any positive change
in our national political system and development in our
country. Mostly same culprits are
contesting again. Almost every
thing is same and seems the same faces and political
parties are trying to occupy the seats in national assemblies and parliament.

The new formation of PPP parliamentarian group and Shahbaz`s selection as
president of PML (N) is unexpectedly a sad and depressing event. It is sad to
realize that that the blood suckers still have the support. This clearly shows
that the roots of "jagirdari nizam" is dominate the politcal scene in
Pakistan.
The poor masses of this unfortunate nation would, therefore, keep on suffering for an unforeseeable future. It is really very pertinent to say here: if we do not want to change ourselves, Allah will not change our condition.

People of Pakistan have seen many dramatic
changes like those in the past and now they know very well that these changes
are mere deception to them and formation of PPP parliamentarian group and
Shehbaz Sharif's
selection as president of PML (n)is just the last attempt to maintain their
public image.

This is a welcome step and has foiled the military attempt to win the
forthcoming elections.
This also brings in light the self-centered approach of the leaders of these two biggest political parties. Its quiet clear in the case of PML (N) who still did not take the correct path of letting the party elect a leader fairly who can run the election campaign from the front. It was easier for PML (N) as compared to PPP to do this as it seems.
With PML divided, and PPP united under leadership of Benazir Bhutto, and given the huge setback PML (N) suffers due to cowardly retreat of Nawaz Shareef. A free election, which of course has a huge question mark from the word go, would see the Peoples Party back in the power corridors.

I personally don't feel any positive change will come with the change of
faces on the top slot of the parties.

Is it impossible to save the country from the people like Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz
Sharif, Benazir Bhutto, Asif Zardari, Ijaz-ul-Haque, Chowdhry Shujjat, Chowdhri
Pervaiz Illahi, Tariq Aziz, Noorani, Sheikh Rashid and Jahil Mulla's? Can we get
rid-off Fuedalism? And, can we have people like Shaukat Aziz, Dr. Atta-ur-Rehman,
Moin Haider and Dawood Pota back in government after the elections? This can be
possible if we educate the masses by opening quality schools next to the Mosques
all over Pakistan.

The election of Shahbaz Sharif and the formation of PPP Parliamentarians group
shows that Mr. Pervez Mushraf has failed in his reforms. He should have put his
foot down. I was under the impression that he will exercise sound judgment
in practical matters. People of Pakistan has given two chances to the previous
rulers and we all know what they have done. Those who were involved to
impoverish our country had no regard for the well-being of the people
of Pakistan. These characters should not be allowed to stand for
elections in October.
Political Parties Act 2002 should be revised to suit only those whose track record meets the requirements of Islamic principles and standards. Apt educational background should be mandatory to understand the language of law and order. Without these reforms we will go back to the square one again.

will never bear impact.

I will just say that nothing will change until the people of Pakistan want to change.

As a matter of convenience it is ok but as principle I don't agree, as both
Benazir Bhutto and Nawaz Sharif (Family) have been involved in many corruption
cases; therefore, it is advisable to clear the politics of Pakistan once for all
to create examples for future politicians of Pakistan.
Otherwise, the same group of people will come back again and play same dirty politics of favoritism and provincialism. Why not meritocracy play an important role to take Pakistan to its glorious destiny which has been destined for Pakistan.

I was not expecting this type
of dramatic change in political scenario. I want to make it very clear that
those who have looted Pakistan's wealth should not be allowed to contest the
forthcoming elections. I was having great of in President General Pervaiz
Musharraf but situation has changed all of a sudden and now decisions have been
taken with political motive.
Amir
There will not be any positive effect on Pakistani politics due to the new
formation of PPP parliamentarian group and Shehbaz Sharif’s selection as
president of PML(n). People of Pakistan now should decide to bring New faces
into the Pakistan politics.

The ongoing politics in the country has now become a three dimensional politics, where at the one corner is the present government headed by the President General Pervez Musharraf, at the second corner is Pakistan Muslim League (N) where Mr. Shahbaz Sharif has come on the front line to play his innings and at the third corner is the Pakistan People's Party who is now led by Mr. Makhdoom Amin Fahim.
The present adjustment according to the political cards are:
1) President General Pervez Musharraf.
2) Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif, and
3) Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto
Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif and Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto has taken out walk over
(temporarily) after the announcement of Political Parties Act 2002 and has
become the back benchers from where they will steer the game. Actual fight
in the elections will be, as usual, between the two mainstream political
parties of the country, viz. Pakistan Muslim League (N) and Pakistan People's
Party, whereas there will be less support for the remaining political parties.
According to my calculations, Pakistan People's Party would get majority of the votes in the forthcoming elections, not only in the National Assembly, but also in the Provincial Assemblies and the Senate and the government will invite PPP to form a government in the country comprised of the newly elected candidates who will choose Mr. Makhdoom Amin Fahim as the next Prime Minister of Pakistan.

I wonder if we will ever experience true democracy and get rid of these
political parties. Members of PML (N) don't have the capability to interpret the
public opinion and have continued to adulate same old imperceptive personnel (Sharif's)
as their leader. PPP has comparatively done well by restructuring their
political body by sidelining Ms Benazir Bhutto but still her influence will
remain.
Generally speaking, the politicians themselves need a major reformation in their
ideology and learn from other democratic systems around the world. Every person
who calls himself/herself a politician should at least have the impudence to
confront their leaders for wrongdoings, intervene with decision-making policies
and contribute by proposals rather pretending to be hopeless entities.
Real politics involves a collective mindful group of people instead of a one-man
show. As far as PML (N) and PPP are concerned, both parties are deviant of the
basic principles of democracy embracing illiterate members and dictated leaders.
