This has brought both countries neared to each other. But this is not the solution of the problem; India should be stressed to leave Kashmir at all.

Anyway, this is a good sign and it lessens the breach between both countries.

I personally feel that it is a very good move between the two countries. I hope that both countries will have a better relationship in future.

Actually, the bombings and other destruction are done by a group of people who does not want Pakistan and India to have closer relationship. So, ignore those people and keep moving. The day Pakistan and India are close friends, most of the people in the world will be very happy.

I think it is a good sign and it will help to settle the Kashmir disputes between India and Pakistan. We have lost our one part of Pakistan due to dispute and not good relationship between these two countries. I pray to our Lord Allah to guide us to settle this issue as soon as possible. It is good for both the countries.

This is an old story of CBMs between India and Pakistan. Indians coined this term long ago to no avail. This process continued over almost two decades. Somehow, for the last couple of years, it appeared that some mass gathering was in vision and LoC crossing points are part of that venture.

But, unfortunately, it gives a feeling of failure due to non-operational measures in this regard. It looks to be going as a showpiece with no sense of purpose in it. If it has to take more than 15 days for documents to be confirmed, I think its ridiculous thing to do with Kashmiris. It amounts to a joke, which makes nations a laughing stock.

Anyway, no one should expect any major swing in the pendulum. Indians are still too smart to hoodwink the actual issue!

The opening of LoC
will not effect in anyway the relations of India and Pakistan. As Indians mind is to lead Asia and particularly South Asia, this approach hinders positive relations with her neighbours, especially Pakistan, who is committed to establish fair relations with all on equal footing.

One thing is clear, as far as I see Kashmir dispute is not going to resolve in next five decades too. Three things can lead to Kashmir settlement—3rd world war, if US is fair and India becomes so weak that Pakistan could impose her decision on India.

Opening of LoC lines is step on positive direction. Both countries should start to stop doubting each other motives and do things in a way, which should bring long lasting peace in region.

Canada and USA is great example of peaceful coexistence. Although both countries have lot of differences, yet they are solving them through dialogues, not by guns. India and Pakistan should adopt the same policy.

Opening of LOC is a good omen of some co-operation between India and Pakistan and it can be worked into a broader and expanded base for working together. I believe the rapidly changing global chess game of super and big powers could converge to a very dangerous confluence towards or around South Asia and the tension between India and Pakistan has to be brought to minimal, while taking advantage of such compromises like opening of LoC.

India’s size is drawing India into becoming an integral part of this dangerous chess game through reorientations, reorganizations and reconfigurations of aligning the military prowess of the world in a two horse race between America and China to dominate the world. Pakistan will have to act safe and play safe by peacefully manipulating somewhat already sweetened relations with India. Let this initial prodding of amicable mutual understanding be the initiation that must be propagated into culmination of zero enemy borders between India and Pakistan.

While pressure is much more on India now with promise of countless goodies to India by sole super or major powers to be in this dangerous power chess of future. Pakistan, because of its small size, is being spared from being drawn into the future hell, if this dangerous chess drama gets blown up into a full fledged nuclear war between the two major players and those aligned with them as important members of the two clubs of contention each trying to control the world.

Let us hope and wish and also really act to make this LOC opening work into lasting peace between the two neighbours. We must strive maximum that we do not become part of this chess that, in future, can lead into fire of hell with possibly involving thorough exchange of super fusion nukes by the big and the important. We do not want this hit us or even come our way. We are and we will always be destined to play with only one big player and that is only India. Let us play it safe with a good start of opening up of LoC and work ourselves into resolving matters with India by mechanism involving peace and amicable relations.

At the moment relations between India and Pakistan are being controlled by India unilaterally. Whatever they think is better for them and good as a cosmetic measure they do, in my opinion, they did not open LoC for help, it is a sort of show off before the world that how considerate they are? I do not think it will help improve any current situation. May Allah bless us with His mercy and sense to make decisions at our own!

Contrary to Pakistan’s proposal of opening the Line of Control (LoC) altogether allowing Kashmiris on both sides of the divide to freely move across for helping the quake-victims, India agreed to 5-points opening of which only one has since been opened, which might hold up the relief messiahs too long to reach the needy people.

India should respond and respond wholeheartedly to turn the miseries in Kashmir into an opportunity for healing the wounds and resolving the long standing crisis.

Opening of LOC is a good sign for relationship between Pakistan and India. It will help them develop confidence between each other and better bilateral working relationship, most of all good for Kashmiris, who will be able to see their loved ones and relatives on the other side.

It is anyway a basic right for Kashmiris that there should be no LOC in this region. World has seen fall of Berlin wall in recent past, it should help people of Kashmir find their right of self-determination, which was guaranteed by UNO resolution.

I don’t think that these exchanges of visits will be useful for real positive forwarding. It is just wastage of time and money which is being spent on these useless activities. Indians have never shown and will never show elasticity in their stance.

Though they have shown a generosity in helping us by sending relief goods, but at the same time, I think their offer of providing helicopters for rescue efforts in the affected areas of this calamity is just a scam. The intention behind this offer in my opinion is spying of Pakistani military spots. So, Pakistani officials must be very vigilant and should be well aware of these suspicious movements by Indians.

I don’t think that India will ever seriously talk on the core issue of Kashmir. And will never show consent on plebiscite in Kashmir or any other solution that could go in favour of the stance of Pakistan or in favour of the independence of Kashmir. Pakistan has already shown a great elasticity for the peaceful solution of this core issue and to build affable relation with India, but unfortunately, the Indian side have observed nothing of such sort thus far.
